Codex Committee on Processed Meat and Poultry Products (CCPMPP)

The Codex Committee on Processed Meat Products was established in 1964 as Sub-Committee IV of the Codex Committee on Meat and Meat Products (CCM). Chaired by Denmark, it became a full Codex committee in 1970, with terms of reference stipulating it should "elaborate worldwide standards for processed meat products, including consumer packaged meat, but not including poultry products."

 In 1978, the decision was made to elaborate standards on poultry meat. The terms of reference for the Committee on Processed Meat Products were subsequently amended to include poultry meat, and the Committee was renamed the Codex Committee on Processed Meat and Poultry Products (CCPMPP).

CCPMPP was adjourned sine die by CAC19 in 1991 and abolished in 1999.
